1. The Snaggletooth Seadevil, (Lasiognathus amphirhamphus), perhaps the most bizarre of the 170 recognized species of deep-sea Anglerfishes, is known only from this one single female specimen, discovered in the eastern North Atlantic Ocean in 1981.
